The documents of former Ministry of National Security were transfered to the ABS from the National Archives on December 7, 2011. The Collection contains the documents with particularly sensitive historical issues, such as the political trials of the 1950s, including The Slansky Affair.

The transfer of such a large collection of files involves a significant amount of work by ABS staff. The transfer process from The National Archive to ABS includes the review of files for any residual sensitivity, physical preparation to ensure minimal deterioration over time, and the cataloguing of files so they can be identified via the ABS Guide to the Collections. Further information on the CZ public records system is available on the ABS webpage.
