Intelligence Technology Directorate (Directorate VI)
Intelligence technology is understood as listening devices (for bugging), miniature cameras, tape recorders, transmitters, radars and so on. Originally, Directorate IX was responsible for this area; later it was Directorate VI. Archival materials concern the organizational management of these components, miscellaneous guidelines, proposals and plans for research and development tasks. Of particular research interest is certainly the testimony of emigrant Josef FROLIK, former serviceman of Directorate I, in the subcommittee of the US Senate, including his memoirs.
