Prison Guard Directorate
Papers in these collections come from the years 1945-1952 (though some exceptions can be found here beginning in the year 1922). They mainly concern surveys of prisons, prison visits and inspections, prisoners’ grievances, bills, reports from district and regional courts, prisoners’ escapes, prisoners’ board, the expulsion of prisoners of German nationality, announcements on the number of prisoners in the Jáchymov camps, etc. Some collections of correctional facility institutes also contain the personal files of prisoners and prisoners’ books.
