Madeleine Albright visits the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and the Security Services Archive

Prague: The former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright visited the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and the Security Services Archive on 4 April 2011. The main purpose of her visit was to search archive materials for documents concerning her father Josef Korbel. During her visit, Ms Albright met with the Director of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes Daniel Herman, the Institute’s First Deputy Director Jan Kalous, and the Director of the Security Services Archive Jana Poddaná. She was also informed of the activity of both institutions.

Ms. Albright expressed her desire to cooperate with the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and the Security Services Archive in the future, and she voiced her full support for the process of coming to terms with the past in the most open way possible.
