A delegation representing the World Affairs Council from Pittsburgh visited the Institute and Archive
Prague, 7 April, 2011 – A delegation representing the World Affairs Council from Pittsburgh, USA, led by President Steven E. Sokol visited the Institute and Archive today. The mission of the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh is to promote understanding of important international issues, throughout the community and with a special focus on the region's secondary schools. The delegation attended a presentation on the establishment and activities of the Institute and Archive by Miroslav Lehký, Chairman of the Director's Advisory Council, Neela Winkelmannová, Executive Manager for European Affairs and Peter Rendek, Director of the IT and Digitisation Department. The guests then visited the digitisation workstations and, accompanied by Daniel Běloušek and Eva Halbrštátová, head of the Electronic Archive Department of the Archive, the public study room and archive depositories. The guests were interested in the reception of the activities of the Institute and Archive by the Czech public and in issues of foreign cooperation.
