L. Personnel files of servicemen and employees
Three archival collections of personnel files are located in the Security Services Archive. The largest is the collection of personnel files of servicemen from the Ministry of the Interior. It contains personal files on servicemen from the birth year 1910, inclusive, amounting to 2600 linear meters. Files of servicemen of the Ministry of National Security, the all-republic (federal) Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Socialist Republic, as well as of the security services, including personnel files of servicemen of the armed forces of the Ministry of the Interior, can be found in the collection. Personnel files requested by the Slovak side after 1992 were handed over to Slovakia in the 1990s. A part of the collection is made up of personnel files handed over by the Archive of the Ministry of the Interior, or the Section of the Archive of the Security Services of the Ministry of the Interior/ Office for International Relations and Information. A further archive collection contains personnel materials (that is, not only personnel files, but also personal cards, for example) of servicemen of military counterintelligence and the Intelligence Service of the General Staff taken over from the Ministry of Defense. This part currently amounts to a volume of 95 linear meters. The third archival collection of personnel files contains personnel files of servicemen from the OVO (Odbor vnitřní ochrany – literally Section of Internal Protection, or the equivalent of a prison intelligence agent network) of the Corrective Education Corps, in the amount of 3.6 linear meters.
